Summer Reading

Check out the website, we have updated!

Summer is the time for most people to take a break, go on a vacation and relax with some good books.

It is summer in Iowa. Heat radiates from every surface, and humidity hangs heavy in the air, sucking all the energy out of every life form. Such days are suited for only one thing, lounging around in the shade, drinking tall cold drinks and reading a really good book(s).

You will need to supply your own hammocks, lemonade, beach umbrellas and sun block, but we are happy to suggest some summer reading.

Here are some books that I will be reading this summer:
  • Lean Mean 13 by Janet Evanovich (on sale June 19)
  • The Sleeping Doll (on sale in June)
  • 19 Minutes by Jodi Picoult
  • Beyond Reach by Karin Slaughter (on sale July 31)
  • Shopaholic and Baby by Sophie Kinsella
  • The Woods by Harlan Coben
  • Bones to Ahes by Kathy Reichs (on sale August/September 2007)
  • Whitewash by Alex Kava
  • Simple Genius by David Baldacci (this is # 3 in the series)
  • Michael Connelly (start the series)
  • Bubbles All the Way by Sarah Strohmeyer
  • Foul Play by Tori Carrington (this is #3 in the series)
  • Sliver of Truth by Lisa Unger (this is #2 in the series)
  • True Evil by Greg Iles
  • The 6th Target by James Patterson
  • Step on a Crack by James Patterson
  • Magic Hour by Kristin Hannah
